Walter S. Kurek – Walt has 20 years of investment and transactional experience. Prior to founding Whitehall Capital Corp., Walt was a principal with a boutique investment banking firm heavily involved in the consolidation of the equipment rental industry; and a principal with a firm focused on the turnaround and sale/liquidation of distressed companies.
Walt has also lead, and participated in a number of leveraged buyouts; often undertaking CEO, or other senior management operating responsibilities. Over the course of his career, he has been involved with over a hundred closely-held businesses in his capacity as investor, manager and advisor. His transaction-related experience involves the successful sale of nearly 50 closely-held companies with aggregate transaction value exceeding $300 million.
Walt began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago, IL as a member of the firm’s unit that focused exclusively on small-to-medium size, closely-held businesses. Walt holds a MBA with honors from the University of Chicago, and is also a Certified Public Accountant. He has served on the Board of Directors of various private sector, public sector and civic organizations.
